Why Ioan Gruffudd is pronounced "Johann Griffith", I'll never know...

So I watched "Amazing Grace" tonight and it was pretty much an amazing movie. ^_^ Not uber-depressing and not beat-you-over-the-head-with-a-Bible religious. Is it pathetic if everytime I see Ioan Gruffudd I think not of Horatio Hornblower, but of 102 Dalmations? *facepalm* And, dude! Rufus Sewel! He keeps popping up in all of these movies that I watch, and the more I see him, the more I like him. And, hey, he wasn't a bad guy* in this movie! omg, my world no longer makes sense! ^_^

* - This is the dude that plays Count Ademar in "A Knight's Tale", Bethany. ^_^

Oh, I loved Amazing Grace. I need to rent it again sometime... haven't seen it since the theaters.

And his name is that way because Welsh is a different language, silly. ;-)

Rufus Sewell played Ali Baba in Arabian Knights. He was pretty awesome in that, too. Then again, that movie is just awesome, period.

Amazing Grace yay! Ioan yay! (how else would you pronounce Ioan, btw? I mean, Gruffudd, yeah, that's a tricky one, but I'm not sure how else you would say "Ioan"...)

btw, if you still have the dvd, the commentary is amazing just for listening to Ioan's voice. :D The director is kind of silly and they talk about how they tried to make Wilberforce's faith not look crazy or silly (which is good, I guess...but the way they talk about it implies that they kind of consider that it was, or that it is...) But to hear Ioan's native accent is just. Amazing. So worth it. ;)

And I know about Rufus Sewell, right? I kept expecting him to do something bad! lol.

He was also in a movie called "Dangerous Beauty". It was about the courtesans in Venice. Pretty mature, but very good.
