Spring classes don't start until the 19th, so I've come up with a list of things, some fandom-related, that I would like to accomplish over the Christmas break. :) In no particular order, I would like to...

finish reading Kidnapped
reread all the Chronicles of Narnia
finish watching Farscape
finish my fourth McKay/Keller fic
finishing reading laura_josephsen's nano novel and send her some feedback
finish making my t-shirt quilt with my dad
fill out my application for the Greece mission trip

I thought about rewatching the first five seasons of LOST, to get ready for the final season's premiere in February, but that's too ambitious even for me. ;)

I just finished watching Alice, the latest Syfy miniseries from the creators of Tin Man. It was really cute and fun. Not quite as deliciously dark as Tin Man, but still very enjoyable. :D

I know at one point there existed a comm on LJ where you could ask all kinds of medical-related questions in the hopes of making a fanfiction scene accurate and knowledgeable people would answer you back. Does anyone know the name of this comm? Or of another similar resource? It would be most helpful for the fic I'm trying to write. ;)

So today I was watching Cash Cab(TV trivia game show) and the question was, "Called potato gems in Australia, what tasty treat was made in US by Ore Ida?" I bounced up and down and said, "TATER TOTS!" I felt really smart when the contestants missed it and I got it right. ;)

How dare they kill off Doyle just to bring in Wesley? Wesley's so ANNOYING. And Cordelia and Doyle were getting kind of cute. ;) Wesley had better up his usefullness factor quickly, 'cause his ineptitude was kind of painful to watch in this first episode. Also, lose the leather jacket, dude. You will never be that cool. ;)

Wow. It's been ages since I've written anything. But I finished up a cute little one-shot for my Prompt Table of Doom. It's Halloween-themed and a day-ish late, but oh well. I think it's cute, and it's a scene I've had in my head for a while.

Episode 2.09 - Out of Their Minds. Wow. Just Wow.

I have not laughed that hard in ages. Body-switching ftw.
Aeryn trying to talk in a American(and Southern!) accent was hilarious.
I LOVED Chiana in D'Argo. With the head bobbing and effeminate voice, he looked so... GAY. *lmao*
New best scene ever: Crichton!Aeryn teaching Rygel!Chrichton how to pee in the docking bay. It does not get funnier than this.
Runner-up for new best scene ever: "Oh, come on. They're here. They're RIGHT. HERE." *gigglesnort*
I really, really liked the evil!vulture!aliens for some reason. Epic puppetry, man. :D
Crichton and Aeryn wrestling on the floor at the end. Srsly, how cute are they? ;)

I guess this is a meme? It's something I've been wanting to do for a while. I went through all the songs on my iPod and tallied how many of them I had found because they had been used in vids. Some of them were songs I had heard before, but didn't fall in love with them until I saw it used in a vid("Holiday" by Green Day), some of them I had never heard before in my life("Between" by Vienna Teng). I've even fallen in love with artists and gotten ahold of more of their work because I heard their stuff in vids(Simon and Garfunkel). So here is the breakdown. Out of 1459 songs on my iPod...

discovered: 91 songs
rekindled love: 12 songs
artists discovered: 9 (Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence, Jem, Lo-ball, My Chemical Romance, Shania Twain, Simon and Garfunkel, and the music of Jekyll and Hyde, and Avenue Q)

most influential vidder: sache8 with a whopping total of SEVENTEEN songs that I discovered/rekindled because of her vids. :D
